Description
This print of early Christian martyr, Saint Sebastian, was created in 1986,by photocopying a small postcard (bought at Greenmarket Square) of the Sodoma (1525) painting. This was the first “Jane-and-Jane” print to use religious, Renaissance iconography, heavy black outlines and hand painting.
Fabric: 310g/sm, 100% cotton basecloth,width 1.4m
Vertical repeat: 44cm (seen in repeat 1.4 X 2m length)
Pattern match: 1.4m
Fabrics should be handwashed separately in cold water, avoid strong detergents, do not spin or tumble dry, iron on reverse.
